Ice Skating Lessons

Where to get lessons

Most ice rinks will have one or more associated and qualified skating instructors.  I would recommend contacting your local ice rink and checking with them.  Here are some other things to consider:

  • Make sure the instructor is suitably qualified.
  • Check for insurance - this is often a good sign that the instructor has qualified with a responsible governing body.
  • Don't be afraid to try a bunch of different instructors to find the one you like best.
  • A good instructor will do things such as finding out your own specific needs and goals, and will then teach to these goals.  They will usually make the lesson fun, and will adapt to your needs and skills so that they help you to achieve your best.
